MATH HOMEWORK GRADING SYSTEM:

*Check (+) = 5*

Check = 4

Check (-) = 3

Check (- -) = 2

0 = missing

Student need to complete the entire assignment, show work for all problems, and circle all answers given. Check + happens if the student gets the "bonus question" correct. This is one randomly selected question that the student must get correct to get the bonus (+) added to the check. They get a check (-) for not showing all work but completing the assignment. For example, say a student finished every question, but didn't show their work for all problems -- or they forgot some/all of the notes on vocab, key concepts and/or examples -- they'd get a check (-). Moreover, if that same student forgot some notes, but got the bonus question correct it would bump up their score to a check. Finally if a student turns in homework late, it's a loss of 10%. Please recall, homework only accounts for 10% of the student's total grade!
